On Saturday, 9/29/2018, the Downingtown Music Parents Association will be hosting the Music in Motion Cavalcade Home Show. This is a premier Cavalcade event and the chance for us to showcase our amazing music programs. But we NEED YOUR HELP to make it a success! This event calls for almost 100 volunteers for various needs. From concessions to student guides, every spot is important. This is truly an AMAZING night of music and marching. This year we have nine competing bands, our West & East bands in exhibition, as well as two collegiate bands: Boston University and University of Massachusetts. This is a HUGE fundraiser for MPA and thus all of our high school music programs, so please strongly consider volunteering your time. We are also seeking donations of food for our hospitality center. Volunteers should wear school colors or MPA apparel, if you have it. Individualized arrival and check-in details will be emailed prior to the event, according to specific jobs. The hospitality center will be located in the West cafeteria. We supply dinner and snacks to the directors, techs and bus drivers of the visiting bands, throughout the event. All committed donations should be dropped off to the cafeteria between 2 – 2:45 pm. Please plan on picking up dishes and crock pots from the cafeteria by 10:30 pm.
