Never Forget: A Holocaust Survivors Story (Virtual)

Description
The Office of Student Relations and School Climate is honored to host Holocaust survivor Steen Metz for a virtual presentation on Monday, May 19th at 6:00 PM, in partnership with the Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center. At just eight years old, Steen was deported with his parents from Denmark to the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp, where he endured 18 months of brutal conditions, lost his father to starvation, and was liberated just one month before the camp's gas chamber was set to operate. As one of fewer than 1,500 child survivors, Steen now shares his powerful story to educate future generations and emphasize the importance of remembrance, resilience, and standing against hate. This is a freeeventopen to the public. Register today !
