Downingtown Memorial Day Parade

Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony - Monday, May 26th

Dress - Tick-Tock show T-shirt, Neutral colored shorts (black, brown/tan, navy, gray, etc), sneakers (do NOT wear white band shoes)

Schedule:

8:15AM - 8:30AM East Open to retrieve items. Building locked and trailer departs at 8:30

BY 9:15AM - arrive at Grace Church in Downingtown (111 Lloyd Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335)

            Assemble equipment, load empty cases onto trailer

9:40 - Trailers depart Church, Band moves into assembly position

10AM -Parade begins (route is up Pennsylvania Ave to Kerr Park)

10:45AM (aprox) - Ceremony at Kerr Park Veterans Memorial

11:45 (aprox) - Ceremony ends, load equipment. Student pick up at Kerr Park

NO ACCESS TO EAST after performance - Take items home or put onto trailer for transport

Important information for Parade Drop Off - Read below and See Map

Please leave more time than you think you need to for dropping off and/or walking to our location. 

Due to construction at Beaver Creek Elementary this is a little different than the past. Our meeting point will be Grace Church (111 Lloyd Ave) in Downingtown. Please access the Church from Lloyd Ave - Pennsylvania Ave will be closed and barricaded.

DO NOT park and drop off on Lloyd Ave itself - that is a busy road! Pull into the church lot and drop off. 

You can also drop off at the back of Beaver Creek Elementary as we used to, and then walk over to the church. That area is still accessible to cars, but not the large band trailers - Use 530 Williams St. Downingtown as the GPS address. You can come up through town, up Pennsylvania Ave until you reach the closure barricade and then turn right at Aston Ave.

Obviously there are a lot of you between both Bands that need to be dropped off. If we can attempt to use both drop off points that will help things be more efficient. The more of you that can get dropped behind Beaver Creek and walk the better!

Students - if you are parking a car you can do so at the church, but come up with a plan on how to get your vehicle back at the end (maybe have a friend park at Planet Fitness to take you back at the end)
