Join us in the Concession Stands
at Kottmeyer Stadium!
There are many seasoned MPA veterans that work in the concession stands, and we're all very willing to help you learn. You do not need to be a ServSafe-credentialed Food Handler or Food Manager to prepare food. Clearances are not required to work in the Concessions stands.
- Grillers (Adults age 18+ ONLY) - cook hot dogs, bacon, burgers, etc. (First timers will be trained!)
- Food Preparation (Adults age 18+ ONLY) - managing fry baskets, pumping cheese, cooking pretzels, wrapping food, filling condiments, and getting supplies for the cooks.
- Window (Age 14+) – take orders from customers, take payments and make change, gather food orders for customers.
- Drinks (Age 14+, good for younger teens) – Prepare hot and cold beverages for the window workers.
- Clean Up - (Age 14+) Towards the end of each game/event, we begin cleanup. Everyone needs to help clean the stands after sales are finished!
Though it is not a requirement to work in our concession stands, the MPA does have a critical need for ServSafe credentialed Food Managers. A ServSafe credentialed Food Manager is required by the Chester County Health Department for EACH concession stand EACH time it is open. The MPA will pay the fee to complete the ServSafe training for this role. The more volunteers that are ServSafe credentialed Food Managers, the easier it is to ensure we have proper coverage to open the concession stands for band/drum corps competitions, soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, and football games, and any other events at Kottmeyer Stadium or DiSerafino Stadium that mandate the stands being open. We currently only have 4 ServSafe credentialed Food Managers, which places a burden on these volunteers to provide coverage for several games/events each week during Fall and Spring seasons.
